Hey there! Compass Rose Cafe is looking to hire 1 to 2 students immediately for the summer season and possibly beyond. We are a popular, fun cafe and we mostly have young students and adults working for us - we actually prefer it because we love their energy and to watch them grow! We are a unique breafast/lunch restaurant located right next to the Redwood Theater. We offer breakfast and lunch all day, including creative espresso, tea and hot chocolate drinks, as well as baked goods such as donuts, cakes, cookies and brownies. Open 5 days a week for dine-in, and 7 days a week for DashDash delivery and pickup. We are looking for students to be bussers (clear tables of dishes and take to the dishwasher, then wipe down and restock table). We are also looking for runners (wait for kitchen to call ready orders, then deliver to customer tables). Both the busser and runner position have the opportunity for additional training and promotion as a cashier or barista. Lastly, we are looking for a cook. All positions are for summer, but can certainly stretch beyond.

We love bringing in students with little to no experience and watching them grow and learn things that they will carry with them for a lifetime. Customer service, working with money, attention to detail, problem-solving and playing well on a team are just some of the skills our employees are fantastic at! Cooking, baking, cleaning, stocking, etc are part of the daily job. There is always something fun to do and learn!

Food handlers permit is required for all positions other than busser.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds (bus bins full of dishes, garbage, etc)
