Description |
A Assists with patient care under the direction supervision of a nurse within the pre and post/operative area. Seeks new learning experiences by accepting opportunities and responsibilities. Adheres to safety and policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities. Confirms proper techniques by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate care. Maintains order and cleanliness of pre and postoperative area. Assists in inventory of supplies and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the pre/post operative area. Takes patient’s vital sign under the direction of the nurse and records results and reports back to the nursing staff. 8. Observes safety measures in performance of job duties and responsibilities. 9. |

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE Category I exposure to blood borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards. MENTAL DEMANDS Require frequent and constant judgement and response; occasionally in response to disasters or emergencies, actual events or drills. Require language skills adequate for high-level verbal and written communication in American English.
