Description

Woodgrains and Stone is seeking a Cabinet Shop Manufacturing Apprentice to join our team of craftsmen. Qualified applicants will learn woodworking skills while working quickly and efficiently to meet the high quality our customers and team’s demand. Candidate will learn to read tape measure, and shop drawings to manufacture cabinets and furniture to specifications.

Experience will be given in the following areas: acrylic fabrication, solid surface fabrication, field experience including installations.


TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Performs a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools such as sawing, sanding, staining, cutting, and handling materials, etc.     
  • Loading and delivering
  • Mops, sweeps, clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Works harmoniously, cooperatively and courteously with others at all times.
  • Performs routine grounds maintenance
  • Performs miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required.

Worker should be able to: Follow specific instruction; perform a variety of duties that change often; repeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures; work within standard of accuracy; and evaluate information using measurable standards.  Physically, worker must be able to stand and walk for long periods; use arms and hands to reach for handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50+ pounds; climb up and down ladders, and carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, see and hear (naturally or with correction). Excellent attendance is key requirement for successful candidates. Must be able to pass drug test and background check.

 

Normal business hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday 7:00 to 11:00 am.

Be coachable, willing to learn, show initiative and willingness to work.  We provided safety glasses but we need you to wear sturdy closed toed shoes.  

Lift Requirements

Up to 50lbs, we utilize team lifts when necessary.
